(Source: I received a digital copy of this book for free on a read-to-review basis. Thanks to author Michelle Scott.)“You can have me as your blood partner,” I said softly. “I’ll willingly be yours.”
This was a fun supernatural sequel, and there was once again lots of vampire escapades and excitement!
I liked the characters in this story, although once again Cassie was maybe a little too willing to put herself in danger again! She did have her reasons though, and most of the time she only put herself in danger to protect those she loved.
“His nostrils flared as he caught my scent, and he smiled, showing fang.
My weapons were out of reach. The stakes were in the glove box."
The storyline in this was pretty good, and I liked the idea of witches wanting vampire ashes for casting spells! The murder-mystery part of the story was pretty good too, and I liked the way Cassie took it upon herself to try and work out what was going on!
“You want to play Pictionary?” Perry asked.
“No. I want to play CSI Detroit. We need to chart everything we know about the vampire murders.”
I did find it a little funny how vampire hunters didn’t believe that witches existed though! I mean if vampires exist what’s to say witches and magic don’t exist also?!
“But there’s no such thing as magic,”
There was some romance in this one, and Isaiah and Cassie were certainly ready to sacrifice themselves for each other!
“Anything to save Isaiah. Anything at all.”
The ending to this was pretty good, and there was certainly some action and some unexpected deaths! Really surprising deaths! We also got left with a little bit of a cliff-hanger though!
“I’ve come to take you back home.”

Stagecraft Bit Parts Book 2 eBook Michelle Scott Reviews
I have not read any other books from this author and I found this book to be very interesting. I like that is book has vampires in it. I like that the author has made good and bad vampires. This book did not keep me wanting more. It was not a book to me, I couldn’t put down. I felt there were a few twists and turns but I was looking for a little more action, I think. I did like this book and would read something else from his author. I did not read the first book in the series so maybe this is part of what I was missing. I think the story line was good and I do like to read books with vampires in it. *This was book was given to by the author in exchange for an honest review*
The second book in the Bit Parts series, Stagecraft is an excellent followup to the first. In this story, Cassie once again finds herself in the middle of vampire politics. And what problematic business vampire politics is. I love the complicatedness of the supernatural world in this series, with protocols that must be kept and rules that must be followed, many unknown to the human world, and you just never know who you can really trust. And Cassie, of course, is unwittingly thrown right into the middle of it.
The characters in this story are, once again, fabulous. Cassie, true to character, is concerned more about her friends and family than herself. She is selfless and loyal to those close to her. My favorite, though, is Isaiah. There's just something intriguing about him…tall, dark, mysterious.
This story was action packed with plenty of twists and surprises to keep things interesting. Needless to say, I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
